Gildraoi

The Sun God-King of Light and Gold

Artist: Sutthiwat Dechakamphu

Across the Estran Gold Coast, the name Gildraoi is spoken with reverence.

His temples rise above sun-drenched ports and gilded halls, their towers catching the first light of morning and casting it across the sea. Merchants stamp his sigil into coin. Generals march beneath banners embroidered in gold. Kings claim his blessing before taking a throne, and common folk leave offerings at roadside shrines in the hope that his favor might bring prosperity, protection, or recognition.

Gildraoi is the Immortal of radiance, gold, and visible glory—the divine promise that effort may be rewarded, that order may triumph over chaos, and that greatness may be made undeniable.

Where Gildraoi walks, light follows.

His presence strengthens those who gather beneath it. His followers speak of warmth spreading through their armor, resolve hardening in their hearts, and fortune bending toward those bold enough to act. To receive his blessing is to be marked as worthy: not merely protected, but elevated.

Yet Gildraoi’s light is not gentle.

He is a sovereign, and sovereignty demands structure. The world, as he sees it, is made stronger when each thing knows its place: the ruler and the ruled, the victorious and the defeated, the glorious and the forgotten. His followers build temples, establish dominion, and gather armies not only to honor him, but to make his order visible across Eave.

For Gildraoi, glory must be witnessed.

A deed performed in darkness is incomplete. A kingdom without monuments is temporary. Power that cannot be seen, named, and remembered is little more than potential. This belief has shaped the Solarian Conclave for generations, driving its champions to raise radiant strongholds, bless their armies, and transform mortal ambition into public triumph.

Among the Immortals, Gildraoi is often regarded as a natural ruler. His image appears on banners throughout Eave, crowned in sunlight and surrounded by symbols of abundance. Many believe him to be the eldest of the divine powers, the first flame around which the world was ordered.

Whether that belief is true matters little to those who worship him.

Faith, after all, has a way of becoming history.

The lands under Gildraoi’s influence are prosperous, disciplined, and hungry for achievement. Their cities gleam. Their armies advance beneath polished shields. Their rulers speak of destiny as though it were a contract already signed.

But light reveals only what it touches.

Gildraoi is not cruel, nor does he delight in suffering. He believes sincerely in the world his radiance creates. To him, abundance is evidence of virtue, victory is proof of fitness, and admiration is the natural reward of greatness. He does not easily perceive what is hidden beyond the edge of his illumination: the unspoken cost of empire, the truths buried beneath celebration, or the lives overshadowed by those standing closest to the sun.

This is both his strength and his danger.

Those who follow Gildraoi are not asked to doubt. They are asked to rise.

They gather worship, strengthen the blessed, and pursue a glory so brilliant that none may question their place among the legends of Eave. To stand beneath his light is to feel that greatness is possible.

To remain there too long is to forget that shadows are also real.
